1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AssembleAI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered accounts, and paying customers.

2. Description of Service

AssembleAI is an AI-powered tool that processes PDF instruction manuals and generates step-by-step assembly guidance. The Service uses artificial intelligence to interpret text and images within uploaded documents. Results are provided for informational and convenience purposes only.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All assembly steps, part lists, and guidance produced by AssembleAI are generated automatically by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for verifying all instructions against your original PDF manual before acting on them. AssembleAI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

Do not rely solely on AI-generated steps for safety-critical assemblies. Always consult the original manufacturer's documentation.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must sign in via Manus OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Credits and Payments

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Credits are purchased through Stripe and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Credits are deducted when a PDF manual is successfully processed. If processing fails due to a server error on our side, credits are automatically refunded to your account.

Prices are displayed in USD and are subject to change with reasonable notice. All payments are processed securely by Stripe; AssembleAI does not store your payment card details.

6. Uploaded Content

You retain ownership of any PDF manuals you upload. By uploading a file, you grant AssembleAI a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store the file solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. You represent that you have the right to upload the file and that doing so does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.

We do not share your uploaded files with other users. Files are stored securely in cloud storage and associated only with your account.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes third-party rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's APIs.
• Circumvent credit requirements or manipulate account balances.
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AssembleAI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including any reliance on AI-generated assembly instructions. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Unused credits are non-refundable upon termination unless required by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
